Welcome to the Winnipeg Arts Council's online application page for 2019 grants to individuals.

The Winnipeg Arts Council is piloting an online application process for grants to individuals in 2019. This website is currently used for the Individual Artist and Professional Development grants ONLY. To apply for a Winnipeg Arts Council grant using this website you will need to create a profile. Project Grants for organizations and collectives will continue to apply using the forms found on the WAC website. If you are unsure about which program you should be applying to or which process you should use, please contact Dominic Lloyd, Program & Arts Development Manager at the WAC office.

The Individual Artist Grant supports the creation of new work in any art form, or the development, production, curation, or exhibition of works of art by Winnipeg artists. The next deadline is Tuesday September 10 and applications will start being accepted in mid-July. Click here for program details along with downloadable copies of the program guidelines. Please read the guidelines thoroughly before beginning your application.

The Professional Development Grant Program is designed to provide support to artists and arts administrators for activities that contribute to their professional development and enhance their careers in the arts. These activities may include: unique opportunities for short-term study (beyond basic training) in a formal or informal setting; attendance at events where the work of the applicant is to be presented or where the applicant is an invited speaker or resource person; or travel that is a component of such activities. Click here for program details along with downloadable copies of the program guidelines. Please read the guidelines thoroughly before beginning your application.

About this process: We are committed to this online system for 2019 and we are interested in your feedback. Please keep track of your experience with the site and if you have comments or questions about it please contact Dominic Lloyd at the Winnipeg Arts Council office.
